On Saturday night, in front of a crowd over 53,000 strong, the Seattle Sounders defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-2.
With the win, the Sounders take the lead on the season for the coveted Cascadia Cup. There are still several matches to be played, so they’ll need to keep playing well against their Pacific Northwest rivals from both the north and south.
As always, I had a great time shooting the match. There definitely is a noticeable difference in the energy level with that many folks packed into the stadium. It would be great if they could manage to fill it for more than four matches a year. In time, perhaps they will.
