What a night! The matchup between divisional rivals Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers certainly lived up to the hype.
I’m not going to get into the specifics of the game, there are plenty of sites you can visit for that. But here’s a brief summary:
- It was loud.
- 49ers went ahead early.
- Seattle came back and tied.
- San Francisco went ahead again.
- Seattle came from behind and took the lead.
- San Francisco looked like they might take the lead again late, but didn’t.
- Seahawks won.
- It was very loud.
- It was an historical evening for the city of Seattle.
- There were Skittles.
Oh, also locals Ann Wilson (of Heart) sang the National Anthem, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis performed during halftime. I don’t mean to downplay the game itself. It was an amazing battle. But I’ll leave the superlatives in the hands of the experts. If you want more details on the game, well, go check out your favorite newspaper or sports blog. :-)
I was there working, running cards for one of the Sports Illustrated photographers. But I managed to get a few photos during the small windows of time when I wasn’t racing from the field to the media room to upload photos. Of course, most of the exciting moments for the Seahawks occurred while I was off the field. Oh well.
Here are some of my favorites that I did manage to capture.
