Sounders Beat Cascadia Rivals from the North

On Saturday the Vancouver Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders battled in another physical Cascadia derby match. It was a hard fought game and remained scoreless until Fredy Montero scored just three minutes after coming in off the bench midway through the second half. Eddie Johnson sealed the victory with a goal in the 87th minute off a pass from Brad Evans. Final score was 2-0.

Seattle leads the series 1-0-1 and they meet one more time this season up in Vancouver on September 29. And if all goes according to plan, I’ll be traveling north to shoot my first match in Vancouver. Can’t wait!
