Sounders Pull Off Last Minute Win

The Seattle Sounders have a history of pulling off late wins against Sporting Kansas City. So it really was no surprise when they did it again on Saturday in the 94th minute of the season’s opening match.

Despite this being the fifth time the Sounders have done this to SKC since 2010, the match did contain a few firsts. Second year left back, Dylan Remick got his first MLS start. New signee and Federal Way, WA native, Sean Okoli, saw his first minutes as a professional. Several other players also made their debut as a Sounder: Stefan Frei, Chad Marshall, Marco Pappa, Kenny Cooper, and Chad Barrett. But no one made quite a first impression to the 39,240 in attendance as Barrett when he scored the game winner in the final seconds of the match.

So many firsts (and fifths) deserve a big gallery. At least that’s the excuse I’m telling myself. So here are a number of my favorite shots from the match.
