On Saturday, the Seattle Sounders returned to CenturyLink Field after a very successful three match stretch on the road. That strong run of form continued as they beat the Colorado Rapids 4-1 in front of their home crowd.
Lamar Neagle scored the easiest goal of his life. Clint Dempsey added two more goals. And Obafemi Martins flipped. It was an all around enjoyable day for the Sounders supporters.
As for me, shooting in the sun is always challenging. While it’s great that there is plenty of light to not have to worry about high ISO settings, there are some drawbacks. The most obvious is the harsh light and dark shadows on people’s faces. But that’s not too big of a deal, there are things you can do to make it less severe. What’s more annoying are the heat waves rising up from the pitch when it’s also warm out. They make a perfectly focused shot look slightly soft or out of focus. And the unfortunate thing is, there’s not much you can do to counter it.
But I guess that’s the trade off for not having to deal with rain gear!
