Still trying to catch up. Here are another couple of weeks’ worth of my Project 365 photos.
Day 246: Soft Dahlia
I was playing around with my old 50mm f/1.4 Super-Takumar lens. Opening the aperture up all the way to f/1.4 gives it a very shallow depth of field and a soft focus. I don’t often like the softness, but it seems to work well with this dahlia.
Day 247: Grape Cluster
Our little grapevine is having the best summer of its life. More clusters than ever before. But due to the limitations of where we could plant it, I’ll be surprised if they ever ripen. North-facing is definitely not the best aspect for grapes. But only time will tell…
Day 248: Shades Shadow
Day 249: Winged Visitor
This guy managed to hang out just long enough for me to grab my tripod and take a few snaps. As soon as I was satisfied with my shots, he flew away.
Day 250: Terminator
Day 251: Self Portrait with Sinead
I’d been playing around with my tripod a bit and took a few “self portraits”, though I was mainly interested in the light reflected on the wall. Sinead decided she wanted to be in the shot, as well.
Day 252: Brickwall
Day 253: Peek of Sunlight
Day 254: Numbers 3-6
A good friend who owns a wine shop was sent this sample pack of wines from a little know wine region of Spain called Somontano. We had no idea what to expect from this very gimmicky presentation. (The wines were accompanied by a hardbound coffee table book featuring some ridiculous prose.)
Suffice it to say, we were all rather pleasantly surprised by the wines, for the most part.
